I was out shopping for a new planter pot to add some color to my patio when I came across these gorgeous ceramic pots. They were a bit on the expensive side, so I decided to try and recreate them with some yarn I had lying around.
After a few hours of crocheting, I had created my very own set of crochet pot plant covers! They weren’t an exact replica of the ones at the store, but they were just as beautiful and cost a fraction of the price.
I couldn’t wait to show off my new creation to my friends and family. Everyone who saw them was amazed at how well they turned out. In fact, several people even asked me where they could get a set for themselves!
How do you crochet a planter?
If you’re looking for a fun and easy crochet project, I highly recommend giving these crochet planter pot covers a try. Because they make for a great summertime project and are perfect for sprucing up any outdoor space. It’s a great way to hide the plastic pot. Plus, they make great gifts too!
This crochet planter pot cover basket is made with bulky yarn and a size G crochet hook. The finished basket measures approximately 11 inches wide by 13 inches tall.
To make this crochet basket, you will need to know how to crochet the following stitches: chain stitch, single crochet, single crochet in back bar, and slip stitch.
I used a wooden base for the bottom of the planter to make it sturdier and have a support for bigger pots.
To make things easier I made 2 KITS with your favorite colors. In this KIT you can find all the materials needed to create your own set of 3 crochet planter pot covers. That’s 3 planters of different sizes. You’ll love this easy crochet pattern for a set of three planters.
