What yarn should be used for striped scarf crochet pattern
Striped crochet scarf free pattern is worked with DK (light 3) and lace mohair yarn held together. You may use only either DK or any medium weight yarn, but I opted to add some fluff using mohair for a little more texture.
How to crochet a striped scarf?
Since the stripes are vertical scarf is worked up starting at a foundation chain that is the same length as the length of the scarf and worked in turning rows. In other words, you may begin with as many chains as you want your scarf to be lengthy. But keep in mind that the total amount of chain should be multiple by 2 +1. That’s because the stitch repeat is 6 stitches. I’ve always wanted a very long scarf so I went with 235 stitches as a foundation chain, but you can make it shorter. You may also customize the colors and stripes combination, or follow my guide for the number of rows per color.
