I love Valentine’s Day, but my favorite part is not the Valentine’s candy or romantic dinners. Above all my favorite part of Valentine’s Day is getting to show my loved ones how much I care about them and appreciate them in my life. I usually don’t go crazy with decorations for Valentine’s day but love to set the mood with a few pieces here and there. Valentine’s Day is another excuse to redo our home decor after Christmas, amirite?!
What to crochet for Valentine’s day?
One of my favorite Valentine’s Day traditions is to crochet a few baskets for the occasion. This year, I designed this Valentine’s Crochet Baskets Set Pattern and I think you are going to love it because it makes a great gift! The basket set includes two different sizes of baskets with two different designs, so you’re getting two patterns in one! The bigger basket has a heart shape design in the middle, whereas the smaller basket is etched with little cute crochet hearts all over. It’s pretty easy crochet pattern. You can use different colors like, red color together with white or like I did, dust pink color with off white color.

What yarn do you need to crochet baskets?
I used t-shirt yarn because this is without a doubt the best chunky yarn for baskets, it ensures that you’ll get a sturdy basket. I utilized a waistcoat stitch, which is a simple and great stitch for colorwork.
